Have an update~

So uh, nothing much has been happening lately. 8D; I've applied for tons of jobs, most Christmas temp, BUT THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING and surely I'll get something out of that. I've been fighting with the college trying to find out exactly what I'm supposed to be doing since I never got the letter they said I would and then confused my by a) saying I attend on Tuesdays when in fact it's Wednesdays and b) telling me I should attend the induction but then being told by someone else I shouldn't. -.-;

BUT now it's finally sorted I am officially starting college at 9am next Wednesday, meeting in the Minnis building! \o/

Ammy made me incredibly sleep deprived for a while with her incessant bar-chewing but I think I've beaten her habit finally after a lot of hard work, perseverance and sleepless nights constantly poking her and taking her out of the cage at 2am to try and get her to settle. I still need to stop buying her stuff though... but I like to spoil her! And there are so many cool toys and treats out there for hammies! XD

Speaking of buying stuff I went to London again yesterday with a friend on a kind of shopping expedition. I saw... far too much I wanted to buy but I did manage to restrain myself from buying too much. We went to Oxford Street first. There were some sandals I really wanted in Schuh, and several other pairs of shoes. XD; Then my friend took me to Trocadero to visit Tokyotoys (who I know attend Expo anyway but I'd never been to the shops) and I... saw so much I wanted to buy. She had to keep dragging me past things so I wouldn't be tempted. XD But they had Gurren Lagann stuff! A Boota cap! Cute keychains! And plushies. And even a fan shaped like Chi from Chi's Sweet Home! Plus... I loved the costumes, and that sailor outfit would have been perfect for genderswapped!Japan but alas I did not have £48 to spend on it. ^^; I loved the happy J-Pop they were playing too haha~

We had lunch in the 'secret' Wagamama. It's kind of tucked away down a side street and the entrance is really tiny. Plus you have to walk down the stairs into a kind of basement area. It was really secluded and... kind of weird but oh so much more quiet than the one in Canterbury and a lot less busy. Plus the staff were awesome. We had a fun witty guy called Baloo serve us!

Then we scooted off to High Street Kensington to visit a pet shop. Got there 5 minutes before it was about to close so it was a fleeting visit but I did get a nice toy for Ammy. One of those rows of flexible sticks. And she seemed to love gnawing on it last night so I hope it'll keep her off the bars. ^^ Aside from that I... did get sorely tempted to buy this one bag and kind of ended up buying it anyway. XD; It's from Octopus which is one of the coolest shops ever and it's so cuuuuuute.

Um, yeah that's about all. I feel like I've been unable to wake up all day, I don't know why I'm so tired. DX

EDIT - I also forgot to mention that my friend accidentally ended up squirting orange juice into a woman's face on the Tube train yesterday. 8D; The train was packed, we were by the doors and this one quite large woman slammed into us when the train started moving and caused her to squeeze the orange juice carton she was holding and it kind of fountained out into her face. XD;; She seemed... rather peeved but my friend did give her tissues and apologise and stuff... even though it was kind of funny.

Ammy the Hammy

That's the best pic I got of her, all the rest were blurry. So there you have it, my new hamster! XD My mum also bought her a few surprises, which were surprises for me as well lol. She has a new suspension bridge, with ropes and wood chews attached, since she likes climbing. And an exercise ball that also comes with a stand and can stand in the cage for the hamster to use like a wheel. Which I decided to take advantage of because I'm not convinced the wheel in her cage was spinning properly, she loves the thing anyway and it looks quite cool in the cage lol. She's still running in it now! XD My mum also bought her a couple of treats for her to nibble on - popcorn sticks!

And now I want to make her a digging box since I noticed she likes to try digging in the corner...

Also the name... kind of came from the wolf/goddess in Okami. 8D Since she's white with red markings and my hammy is white with red eyes! And Ammy the Hammy is an awesome title haha! Plus I think she's pretty enough to be a Japanese sun goddess~

In other news, went to London with a friend today which was exhausting but awesome~ We went to the Aquarium which was a lot better than I remembered it even though it was heaving in there lol, but I kind of expected that. Then we went on an expedition, failed to find what we were looking for, but did go on a nice little exploration trip around London. Plus I finally got to see Buckingham Palace up close!!

Oh and I bought a cute tumbler with two little seahorses in the bottom too. :3

After hunting incredibly hard for the perfect hamster cage, my friend managed to find one on eBay for £23 (including postage) which in the shops is usually £55! It's used of course but looks in good condition and comes with a bottle, food dish, hamster house (which is actually a sputnik, assuming that's what they mean) and a running wheel. And still cheaper than the smaller cage we were going to get that didn't have half the stuff. It's actually a Savic Cambridge cage, which is one that my friend wanted but couldn't afford. >:

And uh, of course I'm talking about all of this because I'll be getting a hammy soon~ (After much bartering with my parents) XD I spent all morning rearranging my room with my dad yesterday and clearing a lot of crap out to make room for it. Now my room looks nice and tidy and there's a big hole waiting for a hamster cage to be put on it! The person selling the cage messaged us to say they'd be posting it this week via courier service so I'll have to wait a bit, but I'm really excited to have a hammy again! :D

'Course I'll update again when the new arrival is here and settled in!
