We has snow today!! Well it's pretty much melted where I am, but there's still plenty of it in Blean and around Canterbury. It means it's totally freezing though, it hurrrrts. -_-
Anyways, I met up with Laney today to exchange late Christmas cards and presents and OMG LANEY GOT ME A TALKING WALL-E PLUSHIE. 8D So cuuuuuuute~ I was gonna spam everyone with a picture but unfortunately I can't install the software I need to upload photos from my camera on this laptop because I... lost the disc down the side of the bed and can't actually move the bed to get to it. >.> BUT YES, HE IS AMAZING AND CUTE AND THANK YOU LANEY! 8D Also thank you for the card. I never actually realised we'd been friends for just over a year now, but of course that does make sense! It does seem like a lot longer though! o.o And thank you for your words of encouragement too, don't ever change either not!conversation buddy~ Of course... you probably won't see this for a while now, but never mind! XD;
We also went to Wagamama for lunch, even though they seemed to not be serving half the menu this time for some reason. But never mind, I still got my snapper~ I envy Laney being able to use chopsticks though. ¬_¬ Afterwards, I was intending to go to Smith's to use my giftcard but they didn't actually have what I wanted. Then we went to HMV to find the Mamma Mia! movie soundtrack and walked all around the store for it, decided we couldn't see it anywhere and it was right in front of us. |D I almost bought a copy of Grave of the Fireflies too but it was more expensive than I thought it would be (sometimes they have Ghibli films in there really cheap but it varies) so I couldn't really afford it.
Speaking of, I still haven't watched The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, so I think I'll do that. Right after I post this.
Finally, I wanted to try Waterstones for Les Mis. We found a copy but the only one they had was a huge hardback one for £20.00 and uh... yeah, I couldn't really afford that, plus it weighed a frikkin' ton. XDD If it was in Smith's on the other hand it would have been perfect! I think I might order it off the internet because internet shopping ftw hahaha. I also freaked Laney out with the one-eyed fish they have there. 8D
I didn't come back empty handed though! I picked up a copy of Temeraire, which I've been meaning to read for ages now but I couldn't find it... so then I just sort of forgot about it. This time though it caught my eye on the shelf. They only had two copies so I thought I'd better pick it up. :3
So yes, awesome day. Now I'm going to snuggle up and watch a movie.
